Diane is a wife and a mom of two lovely young ladies. Her youngest daughter was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Diane was raised in Commack and attended Commack schools. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in political science from SUNY at Oneonta. She worked at KPMG MAIN HURDMAN as a tax paraprofessional and took evening classes in accounting at Hunter College. She left that position to raise her children and work part time asĀ a bookkeeper for Alcamo Pools and Granite for the past 25 years. She is currently still employed there. During her time raising her girls, Diane became the advocate her daughter needed to ensure she received all the programs and services she would need to flourish. She served as a SEPTA president for four years. It was here she saw families like hers, who needed to learn that they have resources available to them and how to pursue them. Her daughter is currently working and living a wonderful social life surrounded by family, friends and a team of dedicated staff members and clinicians.
