Good Afternoon Everyone!
Please find attached the flyer for our next Nature Walk at Indian Island County Park in collaboration with Suffolk County Parks!
This is our first evening walk and we are looking forward to exploring this site! You will hear from Stony Brook Medicine who is doing a "Tick Talk". We will also be joined by Suffolk County Police Departments' Service Dog, Hamiliton, and we will have the Eastern Audubon Society leading the nature portion of the walk! (Binoculars first come/first serve)
As another added portion of the program, the Girl Scouts will be donating a "squirrel proof" Food Box to this site. There is a small pantry inside the park office, however when its locked people cannot access the food and the previous outdoor box was no match for the squirrels! So, to ensure anyone who is camping or visiting and needs food, can get access to the donations, the Girls Scouts wanted to help!
