PCC turned back the clock and cranked up the volume at our totally rad ’80s Dance Party, held in Nassau County at the Bethpage Senior Center—and what a blast it was. With plenty of space to moonwalk, hustle, and strike your best Flashdance pose, the dance floor stayed busy all night. The Bethpage Senior Center proved to be the perfect venue, giving everyone room to show off their moves like they were starring on Solid Gold.
Members came dressed in their absolute ’80s best, and the fashion did not disappoint. Neon colors lit up the room, leg warmers were everywhere, and scrunchies made a triumphant comeback. It felt like stepping straight into an MTV music video—minus the big hair spray clouds (mostly). The energy was high, the laughs were nonstop, and the vibe was pure throwback fun.
A huge thank-you goes out to our special event coordinator, Tom, for setting up such an awesome night and for bringing along some of his PTW students to volunteer and keep things running smoothly. We refueled with delicious pizza from Benedetto’s, plus cake and punch to keep the party going. And of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without our special guest DJ, Bob McCarthy, who kept the ’80s hits spinning—one classic after another. From start to finish, it was a night worthy of a rewind button.
