Our Level Up Dance was not just a party — it was a full-on boss battle of FUN.
More than 80 people came ready to play, and from the minute you walked in, it felt like stepping straight into an arcade. Video game décor everywhere, pixel tattoos, gaming tees— the vibes were unmatched. You could tell people were excited before the music even started.
And then… DJ Matt Austin hit play!!!
Crazy beats. Epic throwbacks. Songs you forgot you loved. The dance floor stayed packed all night.
At one point the beat dropped, the lights went out, and suddenly the whole room lit up with blinking foam glow sticks and wild dance floor lights. It felt like the final level of the best game ever — loud, colorful, and full of energy. No one wanted to sit down.
And let’s talk about the food because we absolutely understood the assignment.
We had breakfast for dinner with:
Angry Bird scrambled eggs
Donkey Kong bananas and “fireballs”
Minecraft tater tots and waffles (okay… the waffles were so hard they might actually qualify as real Minecraft bricks hahahaa)
Plus the sweetest bonus round — Sonic the Hedgehog cupcakes generously donated by Eileen Viola. Total win.
Most importantly, what made the night special wasn’t just the theme. It was the friendships. The cheering each other on. The confidence on the dance floor. The inside jokes. The pure joy of being in a space where everyone belongs.
Huge shoutout to our amazing volunteers — Erica, Tal, Lauren, Jen, and Michelle — for helping make the magic happen.
If this was any indication, PCC dances are on another level. And guess what? We’re bringing the energy to Nassau in March.
Get ready.
