Batter up! On August 28th, the PCC crew returned to the ballpark for one of our absolute favorite annual traditions: singing the National Anthem for the Long Island Ducks!

Our talented vocalists spent weeks rehearsing during our Voice and Glee initiatives to get game-day ready. When it was time to take the field, Glee leaders Michaela and Shelley did a wonderful job directing the choir, leading our members through an incredible performance. Decked out in PCC green and blue, our members proudly held our banner high, sharing our motto Independence Without Isolation with the entire stadium. The crowd was completely captivated as our singers delivered the anthem with enormous pride and energy!

After our performance on the field, the fun continued right in the stands as members, family, and friends sat together as one big group. We spotted Quaker Jake, the Ducks mascot, out and about, and made plenty of noise using the custom Ducks noise makers our members built during our Crafting Connections initiative. A huge shout-out to our Crafting Queens, Ali and Barbara, for coming up with such a fun and creative way for us to cheer.

Sharing the experience together made every moment a blast, and the night ended on the ultimate high note with a fantastic Ducks victory. Thank you to everyone who came out to make it such a memorable night!
