Seasons of Fun!

Fall is the season of giving, family and friends.  It's also a beautiful time to watch the leaves change from green to beautiful shades of reds, oranges and yellows.  You also can't forget about the "Boo's" and scary things that go bump in the night! To celebrate all things fall, PCC has gathered the best of Long Island's fall activities and eats. Let your festive fall begin!

Speed-friending is officially fun!

We are proud to announce that Positive Community Connections received a 2024 grant from Real Transition Partners to host offical PB Academy Speed-friending game nights. We are so excited to share our lives, likes, stories and interests with all our new friends!

PCC News Update

Another successful Speed -Friending event down in the books!!!!! We had so much fun co-hosting with our friends from the Butler Center Suffolk Y JCC! Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other and what they enjoyed most about the summer. Laughs were had and connections were made during this very special event. We can't wait to have another one in August!

On July 15th PCC members and friends joined together to have some Superhero costume play fun at Belmont State Park.  With Dan as Clark Kent and Tom as Aquaman the day was set for some twists and turns. With eight stations set up with activities participants dressed in their interesting superhero fashion took on each activity with determination and excitement.

Old McDonald had nothing on us at our Farming Meetup at the Elijah Farm in Dix Hills!  Members tasted some delicious veggies and helped plant a variety of herbs.  We learned a lot from our friends at the Elijah Farm. We even made friends with some local chickens! It was a beautiful day well spent!

PCC Member, David Berman was featured in, Happenings in Ronkoma/Lake Ronkonkoma! David was give the opportunity to have an article written about him for Autism Awareness Month.  This article talked about David's job, hobbies and what he enjoys doing with his staff throughout the week.  We are so excited for you David! We get so much joy from seeing our members getting recognition out in the community in such a BIG way!
